Terms of Service
Please read these terms before using Zorta Hosting. We have kept them as clear and short as we reasonably can.
01Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Zorta Hosting at zorta.org/hosting (the “Services”), operated by Zorta (“Zorta”, “we”, “us”). By ordering, activating or using a Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
You must be old enough to form a binding agreement where you live. If you are under that age, you may only use the Services with the consent of a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
02Our services
Zorta Hosting offers three kinds of service:
- Free plans: community-based tiers (Starter, Active, Social and Veteran) with limited resources. Some tiers are unlocked through community activity, such as reaching a Discord level or inviting members.
- Premium hosting: paid plans with more RAM, CPU and storage.
- VPS servers: virtual private servers with root access, billed monthly.
Resource amounts, locations and prices shown on our website describe the Services at the time you order. We may improve, adjust or retire plans over time. We will try to give reasonable notice when a change materially affects an active paid service.
03Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. Provide accurate information, and tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think your account has been compromised. One person may not operate multiple free accounts to get around plan limits.
04Acceptable use
Zorta is built for creators. You can host Minecraft servers, Discord bots, websites, APIs, game servers and other projects, as long as they are legal and respect other people. You agree not to use the Services for:
- Illegal content or activity, including anything that sexually exploits or endangers children (we report this to the authorities immediately).
- Malware, ransomware, phishing, scams, botnets, command-and-control servers or other malicious software.
- Launching or facilitating denial-of-service attacks, including booter or stresser services.
- Port scanning, brute-forcing, credential stuffing, hacking, or attacking systems you do not own or have permission to test.
- Cryptocurrency mining or any workload that uses resources mainly for mining or similar proof-of-work activity.
- Sending spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or running open proxies or relays that hide abuse.
- Hosting or distributing content you do not have the right to share, including pirated software, media or leaked data.
- Harassment, hate speech that targets people for who they are, or content that incites violence.
- Running services that consume resources in a way that degrades performance for other customers.
- Reselling or sharing free-plan resources, or otherwise getting around limits placed on your plan.
If you host a Discord bot or a Minecraft server, you must also follow the rules of those platforms, such as Discord’s Terms of Service and the Minecraft EULA and commercial usage guidelines. Zorta is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discord, Mojang or Microsoft.
05Resources and fair use
Each plan includes a set amount of RAM, CPU and storage. Where CPU is shown as a percentage, it refers to a share of one core (for example, 100% is one core). We may throttle, restart or suspend a service that exceeds its allocation or harms the stability of our infrastructure or other customers. Unusual spikes will be looked at in good faith, and we will contact you where practical.
06Billing and plans
Paid plans are billed as shown when you order, either as a one-time payment for the period stated or as a recurring monthly charge, depending on the plan. Prices are listed in INR and USD for convenience and may differ slightly with exchange rates and payment fees. Taxes, if any, are your responsibility unless we tell you otherwise.
You can upgrade your plan or resources at any time through your client dashboard. If a payment fails or is not renewed, we may suspend the service and, after a reasonable period, delete it and its data.
07Refunds
If a paid service is not right for you, contact us at [email protected] or open a billing ticket from your client area, and we will process your refund within 24 hours of approving it. We may decline refunds for services that were suspended or terminated for breaking these Terms, and for abuse of the refund process. Free plans are free and have nothing to refund.
08Your content and backups
You keep ownership of everything you upload or run on the Services. You give us permission to store, process and transmit it only as needed to operate the Services for you. You are responsible for your content and for having the right to host it.
You are responsible for keeping your own backups. We take care of our infrastructure, but we cannot promise that data will never be lost, so do not rely on a single copy of anything important.
09Availability and DDoS protection
We work hard to keep Services online and protected, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, hardware failures, network issues and large attacks can cause downtime. DDoS mitigation reduces the impact of attacks but cannot guarantee that every attack will be blocked. Protection levels vary by plan.
10Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate a service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe it breaks these Terms, puts our infrastructure or other people at risk, or is required by law. For minor or first-time issues we will normally contact you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. You can stop using a Service at any time and ask us to close your account.
11Warranties and liability
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Zorta is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data or business interruption arising from your use of the Services. For paid services, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the affected service in the 30 days before the issue arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. If a change is significant, we will let you know through our website or Discord. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
